The Anglican Mission welcomed our College of Consultors and Mission Partners in February of 2016.
Both the mission partners and consultors always are grateful for the opportunity to visit with the members of the Mission Society in the local churches. These visits allow our partners to visit the clergy they license and to get to know the laity of the parishes. It also allows the members in the parishes to come to know the focus and ministry of the partner dioceses.
This year’s visits took place in the following locations:
All Saints, Dallas – Bishops Bahati, Masimango and William
Grace Northridge, San Antonio – Archbishop Yong
St. Michael’s, Dallas – Bishop James
St. Andrews, Little Rock – Bishop Sospeter
New Covenant, Orlando – Bishop William
Resurrection, Tampa – Archbishop Kolini
Epiphany, Colorado – Bishop Sospeter
Solid Rock, Winter Haven – Bishop William
Emmanuel Toronto, CA – Archbishops Kolini and Yong
Emmanuel, Vancouver BC – Archbishop Kolini
Anglican Church of the Word, Hollywood, FL – Archbishop Kolini
These visits created conversation about the ministry training program known as Apolo2 . The 2016 training scheme will need almost 28 leaders lay and ordained to build upon the over 200 people trained over the past year. Bishop Sospeter was able to share the excitement over the health clinic in Kibondo that Anglican Mission parishes have assisted with.
The bishops also shared in the common life of our parishes having preached in Sunday services, celebrated First Holy Communions and presided at Ash Wednesday services.
These visits are a blessing to both the bishops and the parishes visited and cultivate long-standing graces for these partnerships.
